Terms of Use

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms apply to Torica and related services provided by appful Inc. (we, us, or our). You must accept them in the app before using the service.

If you are a minor, you may use Torica only with permission from your parent or legal guardian. Children under 13 in the United States may not use Torica. Higher local minimum ages continue to apply.

2. What Torica provides

• Deep Scan, which analyzes a real-world object with AI and converts it into a card
• Friend Scan, which converts a person into a card without AI image analysis to determine performance
• Solo and online battles, card management, trading, reporting, and blocking
• Randomized packs containing official spell or trap cards, paid Credits, and related digital services

3. Accounts and virtual content

You are responsible for your device and sign-in credentials. Tell us promptly if you become aware of unauthorized access.

Accounts, cards, Credits, and other service rights may not be sold, rented, transferred, redeemed for cash, or used as stakes in gambling.

4. Purchases and randomized items

Paid Credits are purchased through Apple; Free Credits are earned without charge. Price and quantity are shown before confirmation. Paid Credits do not expire.

Before a pack is opened, the app displays its price, eligible items, item or category odds, items per opening, guarantees, and any exchange-medal terms. Results are not reversed, exchanged, or refunded except where law or Apple's process requires it.

5. User content and intellectual property

You must have the rights needed to submit a photo. Before photographing a person, obtain that person's permission for the photography and intended use in Torica. Do not submit faces, personal information, copyrighted works, trademarks, or other protected material without permission.

Do not enable online use for a Friend Scan unless the photographed person permitted it. If you do not consent, the card remains usable on the device, its image is not sent to AI or Cloudflare R2, and it cannot be used in online battles, trades, or sharing. If you expressly consent after obtaining permission, we send the image to AI for a safety check and store the approved image in Cloudflare R2 for online battle. Friend cards remain ineligible for trading and third-party sharing.

You grant us a non-exclusive license to process user content as needed to generate, sync, share, moderate, secure, and operate Torica. You keep your underlying rights. Torica, its official cards, interface, and marks belong to us or their licensors.

6. Prohibited conduct

• Breaking law, these Terms, or the Community Guidelines
• Cheats, bots, modified clients, unauthorized access, vulnerability abuse, or manipulation of draws, payments, or rankings
• Real-money trading, fraud, abusive chargebacks, harassment, discrimination, threats, impersonation, or doxxing
• Illegal, sexually exploitative, excessively violent, rights-infringing, or child-endangering images

7. Enforcement and deletion

Depending on severity, repetition, and urgency, we may remove content, limit features, suspend access, or delete an account. Where practical, we provide a reason and appeal path. You can request deletion from Settings.

Deletion permanently removes profiles, cards, Free Credits, and other game data. Unused Paid Credits and refund-adjustment debt do not expire. We separate and retain only the minimum pseudonymous record required to prevent duplicate grants, process refunds, and restore those values once after you verify the same Apple account in a new Torica account.

8. Changes, disclaimers, and liability

We may change Torica for safety, law, balance, or technical reasons. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material adverse changes or shutdowns.

Torica is provided as available. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to mandatory law, our liability is limited to direct, ordinarily foreseeable loss, except for our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Governing law and contact

Japanese law governs these Terms. To the extent legally permitted, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive first-instance jurisdiction. Mandatory rights in your home jurisdiction remain unaffected. Contact: info@appful.tokyo.
